EZLinks Tee Time Auctions

1.  How are EZLinks tee time auctions conducted?

EZLinks tee time auctions are hosted by eBay, the world's largest auction website.  In order to bid and purchase tee times you'll need to be registered with eBay.  If you haven't already done so, click here to register.

To search for tee time auctions in a specific area, visit ezlinks.com and in the Auction section click on the map or choose a region.  A window will open, displaying a list of current EZLinks auctions in the selected area.  Below is an example of a partial listing for Florida:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.    What does the auction price include?

The price includes greens fees and carts for four golfers at the time and date listed.  (Note: Special listing for Twosomes are also available at certain golf courses.  Also, carts are included unless golf course restrictions are applied).


3.    What is the Buy-it-Now option?   

If a tee time has not yet been bid on, an option for Buy-it-Now (BIN) will appear.  If you wish, you can purchase the tee time immediately for this pre-determined price, without entering into the bidding process.  This option comes in handy if you really need to get a tee time and don't want to risk being outbid by another person.  The BIN price is a little higher than the starting bid, but it is still approximately 25% off the regular rate you would pay at the course. Once a bid has been placed on a tee time, the BIN option is no longer available.


4.    What is the easiest way to search for a tee time or a course that I want to play at?

If you know the date you want to play, the quickest way to find a tee time is by using the EZPik feature at ezlinks.com.  From the dropdown list, simply choose a region and play date, and a list of corresponding tee time auctions will be displayed.

Another option is to click on the states listed at ezlinks.com.  This will show ALL active tee time auctions in that area.  A third option is to visit the EZLinks customized page on eBay.


5.    When selecting a state or area to search, the window displays the message "0 items were found".

This means that a tee time auction is not currently available in that area.  This will occur in some states during the winter, or if all tee times were purchased in advance.  Check back later to search for available auctions.


6.    How do I pay for these tee times?

When an auction ends, eBay automatically sends a notification to the winner, and also to EZLinks.  If you win an auction, proceed to PayPal and complete your payment to EZLinks.  PayPal is used for all fund transfers, and is the official payment processing format for eBay.  There are no shipping and/or handling charges, so simply pay the closing price of the auction.  DO NOT CONTACT THE GOLF COURSE TO MAKE PAYMENT - they will not be able to help you.


7.    How long do I have to pay for my tee times?

Payment must be received at least 48 hours prior to your tee time.  This provides EZLinks with time to receive your payment, process your tee time reservation in the computerized system, and send your official confirmation back to you via email.  Allow EZLinks up to 24-hours to email this confirmation to you.  The confirmation number is required by the golf shop at the time you check-in to play, so don't go to the course without it.


8.    How will the golf shop know about this tee time and my group?

Once you have paid for your tee time EZLinks receives notification from eBay.  EZLinks then books your tee time using the same computerized reservation system that the golf courses use.  Once EZLinks has completed your reservation, you will receive an automated email that includes your tee time details, driving directions to the course and a confirmation number.  This confirmation is required by the golf shop when you check-in to play!  Print the email and bring it with you to the golf shop as proof of payment.  Without this confirmation number, the golf shop is not required to let you on the course.


9.    What happens if it rains or I can’t make my tee time?

You are purchasing golf for a specific date and time.  There are no exceptions or refunds.  DO NOT TRY CALLING THE GOLF COURSE TO RESCHEDULE OR MOVE YOUR TEE TIME.  They do not facilitate this program, and will not be able to assist you.  If you cannot make your scheduled tee time, offer it to a friend.

If the golf course is officially closed due to inclement weather, EZLinks will reschedule your tee time for a comparable day.  Contact EZLinks at teetimeauctions@ezlinks.com or 1.888.621.8675 to coordinate this rescheduling.  You will be required to provide your name and confirmation number, and EZLinks will contact the golf shop to confirm that it was indeed closed during your originally scheduled time.

If you have already checked-in to play and the golf shop issues you a rain check (at their discretion), you can then reschedule your round through the golf shop and not EZLinks.


10.    Can we play with less than 4 golfers?

Yes.  When you buy a tee time with EZLinks, you are purchasing the entire foursome.  You have the right to show up with less than four golfers, however the price will not change.  If you have not filled your four slots the golf shop reserves the right to add players to your group after you check in on the day of play.  EZLinks has no control over the golf shop's wishes to fill their golf course.


11.    When does EZLinks post tee time auctions on eBay?

Every day approximately 200 new tee time auctions are being listed.  EZLinks posts the auctions 13 days prior to the scheduled play date for a 3-day bidding period.  If a tee time doesn’t sell the first time through, it is then re-listed for an additional 5-day period.
